New Delhi: April 3rd is the day when great Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Bhonsle I died in his Raigad Fort due to fever and dysentry. Shivaji was 52 years old at the time of his death. Shivaji was coronated as the ‘Chhatrapati’ of Raigad in 1674, so, he ruled for just six years. But before getting coronated, Shivaji played a majo role in the expansion of glorious Maratha Empire.
