Desi couple kisses after marital vows, on family request… VIDEO creates buzz

A video has been going around the internet were the desi couple is seen performing the Hindi version of “you may kiss the bride.’

New Delhi: Indian wedding season has started and social media is being flooded with videos and pictures of the bride and groom. Apart from picturesque locations, heavy dresses, and jewellery, the most attractive part of an Indian wedding is the rituals like kanyadan, panigrahana, and saat phera among others.

People try to make their wedding a special one by incorporating some innovative event on the D-day. Such an incident happened recently, which has been going around the internet for quite some time. The now-viral video shows that the bride and the groom sitting on the mandap after completing phera ceremony, just when the groom’s father tells his son “you may kiss the bride.”

The groom, Viren Khuller, and the bride, Vidushi Sharma were in utter shock and surprise at their wedding when Viren’s father asked the priest to tell the duo to kiss each other, performing the Hindu version of “you may kiss the bride.” Although the priest was a little shy and instead asked the father to tell them, with a little bit of persuasion, the former asked the couple to kiss each other.

The couple completed the ritual by sharing an adorable kiss and was lauded by the guests present there. The video has been shared by the page “Shutterdownphotography,” which captioned the video as, “When totally Rager Dad Kills it !! Check out the Hindi version of you may kiss the bride.”

As soon as it’s shared, the video garnered over 30k views and 1,900 likes. The comment session of the post was also filled with love from the netizens. One of the users said, “This is so cute (sic),” while another one stated, “That’s what a marriage is (sic).”

The bride and the groom looked beautiful on their D-day. Vidushi looked gorgeous wearing a pink lehenga while Viren was dressed in a nice coat with a beautiful turban. The post-credits mention that their outfits were designed by Manish Malhotra and Jayanti Reddy.
