New Delhi: Ashadhi Ekadashi is dedicated to the worship of Lord Vishnu across many states in the country. Some also observe fast to attain prosperity and attain moksha later in life.
The celebration of Devshayani Ekadashi marks the beginning of Chatur Maas. It is also known as Chaturmasya or Chatur Maas Vrat. This is observed for over four months and it begins from the day after Deva Sayana Ekadasi in Ashada month and ends on Utthana Ekadasi in Kartik Month. Chaturmas 2021 dates are from July 20 and ends on November 16.
