Zomato delivery man arrested for assaulting Bengaluru woman
New Delhi: The recent Zomato incident in Bengaluru, which grabbed national attention, left the social media divided. Many saw model and make-up artist in the wrong and extended support to the delivery boy and termed the woman’s charges against Zomato delivery boy a ‘publicity stunt’.
Now reports suggest that an FIR has been registered against that woman who ‘falsely’ claimed attack by a Zomato delivery boy. Though it is yet to be known who filed the police complaint but the complainants are demanding police to charge her with intimidation and assault.

Parineeti Chopra supports delivery boy Kamraj
Actress Parineeti Chopra took a stand on the controversy and appealed to Zomato to find the truth about the assault accusation made against their delivery executive by a Bengaluru woman.

Woman alleged Zomato boy broke her nasal bone
Bengaluru-based content creator and make-up artist Hitesha Chandranee had alleged that she was attacked by a Zomato delivery executive on March 9 after an argument over a delayed food delivery order. In the sequence of events, the woman suffered a fracture in her nasal bone.

Following her charges, Zomato delivery boy named Kamaraj was arrested on the charges of assaulting a woman on March 10. He was later granted conditional bail the next day.
Kamraj refuted her allegations
Kamaraj in a statement refuted the allegation made by Hitesha.
A video of Kamraj saying that he has no intention of filing a complaint against anyone has surfaced online.

In the video, Kamaraj is crying and is begging to get his job back.
“I have no intention of filing a complaint against anyone. Because the only thing I want is just to live my life peacefully. I request you to help me out to get out of this case. I want to return to my job. My father passed away 15 years ago,” says Kamaraj in the video.
