Florida man catches an alligator inside trash can, leaves netizens amused (Viral Video)

A Florida man traps an alligator inside a trash can. The incident occurred in the lawn where his saves his family and kids from the animal.

New Delhi: Catching an alligator without the help of an animal rescue team seems an impossible and utterly dangerous task for a common person. However, a man hailing from Florida has proved his worth in doing this dangerous job.

A video of a young man capturing an alligator with the help of a trash can has crazily gone viral on social media.

The incident took place on the evening of September 29. The man is seen protecting his family and children present in the lawn from the alligator, by trapping it inside a large trash can. The man in the video is identified as Eugene Bozzi, a US Army soldier.

The 26-years-old man stated that he was informed about the alligator by his kids. Initially, he assumed it to be small. However, on seeing it, he caught hold of the trash can to trap the alligator inside it.

The viral video shows him calmly approaching the alligator, to capture it. “Let me know when the head goes inside,” stated Bozzi just when the alligator was starting to back away. Eventually, the alligator moves inside the trash can, a bit startled at the situation.  The alligator manages to fit inside the can. Soon, Bozzi lifts the can and closes the lid. The stunt activity receives alludes from the audience.

In an interview with USA Today, Bozzi said, “I used the front like a hippo mouth. I saw that he was more timid and he was backing down, so that’s why I knew I had the advantage.” Later, he released the alligator into the nearby waterbody.

The video crossed over 4 million views. Meanwhile, it received 234.5 likes and 47.5 retweets. Netizens have praised the man’s guts to perform such a dangerous activity.  A user wrote, “That’s brave,” while another one stated, “I’ve had a gator in my yard on a few occasions, and the way he handled this is the exact opposite of the safe way. Animal control shows up quicker than an ambulance for gator calls. He and the gator could have been seriously injured.”

Though some appreciated the bravery of the man, some pointed out that it was a dangerous task for him to perform and he could have suffered an injury. Also, he can get into trouble under animal abuse. Here are some mixed reactions of the netizens on Twitter:
