New Delhi: National Best Friends Day 2021 is being celebrated today. Ever year this day is observed on June 8. However, it is still not clear about how the day first started happening in the UK, but according to National Today, the day actually has American origins that trace back to the 1930s.
In 1935, the US Congress reportedly gathered to devote a day each year in tribute to friends and friendship, choosing 8 June because it has a higher chance of good weather.
Since then, it appears that the day has grown in popularity, with countries across the globe getting involved in the special day of friendship.
