New Delhi: National Science Day is being celebrated today ( February 28). This day is marked as the discovery of the “Raman effect” by prominent physicist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman.
CV Raman, known for his work in the field of light scattering, had discovered the ‘Raman Effect’ in 1928. For his work, the great Indian physicist was awarded the Nobel Prize in 1930.
