President’s Bodyguard horse Virat retired from service today.

New Delhi: Virat, the horse in the President’s Bodyguard, retired today after 13 years of service. It was given the chief of the army staff commendation medal this year .

Virat has served the President’s Bodyguard since 2003. Virat was the mount of President’s Bodyguard Commandant Colonel Anup Tiwary.

President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh patted and bid farewell to the magnificent horse after the parade.

Meanwhile, social media users are comparing Virat-the horse to cricketer Virat Kohli.
