VIRAL VIDEO: Bangadeshi bride and groom dances on Kaahe Chhed Mohe at their Gaye Holud ceremony

A recent video has touched the hearts of people across the world where a Bangladeshi bride and groom danced to Madhuri Dixit’s song ‘Kaahe Chhed Mohe’ from Devdas.

New Delhi: Just as traditional rituals are a part of the wedding, dance can be included among one of them. Be it in Sangeet or in the Haldi ceremony, dance performances are a must to make the D-day memorable. But what can be the icing on the cake is a dance performance by both the bride and groom.

A recent video has touched the hearts of people across the world where a Bangladeshi bride and groom danced to Madhuri Dixit’s song ‘Kaahe Chhed Mohe’ from Devdas.

The now-viral video shows a Bangladeshi bride and groom setting the stage on fire by dancing Kathak on the popular song from the 2002 film Devdas. Being professional dancers, the couple did an impromptu dance in the Gaye Holud ceremony. Surprisingly, the steps synchronised with each other naturally. Cheering and applauds could be heard from the background.

Aaliya shared the video on her account who goes by the Instagram name ‘aaloogobi’ captioning it as, “You’ve heard of trust falls? Well, this was a “trust dance”- My Gaye Holud entrance was a 5 minute Devdas mix that we somehow pulled off without any actual practice whatsoever. This particular part was something Rohit and I literally said to each other “You do something, then I’ll follow and we’ll just figure it out on stage”. That is exactly what happened.”

The video went viral, garnering over 1.6 lakh views. The comment section has also flooded with netizens lauding their performances. “Wow!! Brilliant. May you demonstrate the same synergies all your life. My best wishes to you both,” wrote a user while another one commented, “It is so beautiful that I have been looking at this for 3 hours.”

‘Kaahe Chhed Mohe’ was a popular song from Devdas featuring Shahrukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, and Madhuri Dixit. The song was sung by Pandit Birju Maharaj, Kavita Krishnamurthy while vocals were added by Madhuri Dixit. The music was composed by Ismail Darbar and Monty Sharma.
