VIRAL VIDEO: Driver brings train to halt at railway crossing to collect kachori, this is what happened next

The commuters of both the sides across the crossing have to wait for several minutes during the peak hours of the morning

New Delhi: A loco pilot of Indian Railways stopped the train at a railway crossing, leaving commuters waiting on each side of it, to collect the famous Alwar’s ‘Khasta Kachori‘ on the way. The video of the incident is going viral on social media.

In the viral video, a man can be seen approaching the train with a packet of Kachoris, delivers it to the staff inside the engine, and casually walks out of the frame.

Soon after collecting the packet of Kachoris, the driver blow the horn and the train starts moving again.

As per a news report by Hindi news daily ‘Dainik Jagran’, this queer sequence has been often repeated for some time now at Alwar’s Daudpur crossing.

The commuters of both the sides across the crossing have to wait for several minutes during the peak hours of the morning, while the crossing gate goes down at 8 am, so that the snack could be delivered to the loco pilot.

The irresponsible behavior of the loco pilot was captured by a passenger and was shared online while tagging the railway officials.

Meanwhile, after overwhelming criticism from social media users, Railway has reportedly launched a departmental inquiry in the matter. The administration has also suspended the Divisional Railway Manager of Jaipur, Narendra Kumar, along with 2 loco-pilots, and other staff present on the train.
