New Delhi: In a bizarre incident in New Zealand, a woman Australian cricketer, Nicola Carey got stuck in the toilet as it was locked. The incident happened ahead of their warm-up match against West Indies on February 27.  The Australian team is currently in New Zealand for playing ODI World Cup on March 4.

20 minutes in toilet

It is reported that Nicola Carey decided to use the toilet before the match and it locked properly. However, the lock got jammed when she tried to open the door. Following this, the situation became very difficult for Carey. She had to wait for around 20 minutes before she came out safely. She said she was trapped in the cubicle and the situation was something like Claustrophobic.

No tool proved to be helpful

The head of the cricket team Andrea Nelson said, ”It was jammed so we decided to call our team manager mills to round up some people to unlock the door and in the process, she handed me a butter knife to use.”

However, ideas to use different tools to open the lock were proven to be worthless. Finally, the door was unlocked using a master key. Later, she joined the team to play to match.
