Cricketer Rishabh Pant posts 1st tweet after car accident

In the tweet, he said that his knee surgery was successful and his road to recovery has begun. He thanked the BCCI, Jay Shah and the government for constant support during his treatment.

New Delhi: Team India’s star wicketkeeper & batter Rishabh Pant posted his health update on Monday, for the first time after the freak car accident. He was seriously injured in a car accident while driving overnight to his home in Roorkee for the New Year.

Pant was off social media after his tragic car accident. Today, he took to the social media for the first time after near fatal mishap and said that he was humble & grateful for the support & good wishes.

In the tweet, he said that his knee surgery was successful and his road to recovery has begun. He thanked the BCCI, Jay Shah and the government for constant support during his treatment.

Notably, Uttarakhand government had announced to bear all expenses of Pant’s treatment in hospital while the BCCI was also prompt & forthcoming in ensuring best possible treatment for the cricketer.


Pant is currently getting treatment in Mumbai’s Dhirubhai Kolkilaben hospital.

Pant also thanked his fans & supporters for keeping him in their thoughts & praying for his recovery.

“From the bottom of my heart, I also would like to thank all my fans, teammates, doctors and the physios for your kind words and encouragement. Looking forward to see you all on the field,” he tweeted.
