New Delhi: Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 starts from today with Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders locking horns with each other. This season will see a lot of changes, starting from the inclusion of two new teams namely Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants to Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni will not be captains of their respective teams.
Thus, with the pressure off their shoulder, they seemed to have a gala time when they met each other on the eve of the IPL season opener. Besides, it’s no secret that Dhoni and Kohli hold admiration for each other.
Dhoni and Kohli were spotted hugging each other during the practice session at Wankhede Stadium. The video of the duo went viral online and is being loved by all the netizens.

Dhoni reached the headlines once again some days back when CSK made an announcement that Dhoni has stepped down as the captain of the team and handed over his captaincy to Ravindra Jadeja from this season onwards.
Meanwhile, paying tribute to his journey as the captain of Chennai Super Kings, Virat Kohli took to Instagram and wrote, “Legendary captaincy tenure in yellow skip. A chapter fans will never forget. Respect always.”

Besides, Virat Kohli, last year took to social media to announce his retirement as the RCB captain. However, he mentioned that he will be paying for the team.
