New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi turned 72 on 17 September 2022 and social media is flooding with birthday wishes for him. His supporters are celebrating the occasion in different ways, while he has released the Cheetahs brought to India from Namibia. PM Modi is known to keep a close eye on sports and for sending his congratulatory wishes to Indian athletes. On his 72nd birthday, eminent sports personalities of India took on Twitter to wish him.

PM Modi has talked to Indian athletes before and after major sporting events like Commonwealth Games, Chess Olympiad, Tokyo Olympics and many more. The introduction of the Khelo India Youth Games has given India some top-tier athletes in form of Jeremy Lalrinnunga, Achinta Sheuli and many more. Now, the sports fraternity is wishing him a happy birthday and thanking him.

Former Indin cricketer, who is now a BJP politician, Gautam Gambhir wished PM Modi and called him “the man who has redefined the meaning of being an Indian.”

Eminent cricket personalities including former Indian captain Mithali Raj and Virat Kohli, legend Sachin Tendulkar, former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh and Mr IPL Suresh Raina also gave him birthday wishes and wished him good health and happiness.
