New Delhi: After winning the T20 game for India, Dinesh Karthik and Hardik Pandya sat to interview each other on record. BCCI shared a video on its official website in which Pandya and Karthik were seen chatting about the game and Dinesh Karthik’s comeback.

Hardik Pandya called Karthik an ‘inspiration to everyone’. Hardik went on to say, “I remember those conversations, you told me then that my goal is to play for India again and the goal is to play this World Cup, I am going to give it my everything, and seeing you achieve that is very inspirational. A lot of people are going to learn new things. Well done my brother, very proud of you.”
Karthik also mentioned about enjoying batting with Pandya and winning crucial games for team India. When Pandya was asked about his batting for Gujarat Titans as compared to India, he said he wants to replicate those good performances for the Indian team. Hardik mentioned a piece of advice from MS Dhoni that helped him, saying, “He gave me a very simple advice, (it) was like, stop thinking about your score start thinking what your team requires.”

Pandya and Karthik pulled India out of trouble last night when the scoreboard showed 81/4. Hardik scored 46(31) hitting three fours and three sixes. On the other hand, ‘Player of the Match’ Dinesh Karthik scored 55(27) with nine fours and two sixes. This helped India post a total of 169/6 before the bowling unit got the Proteas all out for 87. Avesh Khan took four wickets, out of which three came in a single over.
The T20I series between India and South Africa is now levelled at 2-2 and the final game will be held on June 19 in Bangaluru.
