New Delhi: Suryakumar Yadav and Rashid Khan were seen, engaging in an animated conversation after the batsman potentially found a way to tackle the spin wizard’s sorcery with the ball.

During the Super 8 match between, India and Afghanistan played at the Kensington Oval,  in Barbados. Both teams met on Thursday, 20th June. India registered a convincing victory over the Afghans by 47 runs. Apart from the result of the match, another incident took place which caught a lot of attention. A playful exchange between Rashid Khan and Surya Kumar Yadav caught the attention of fans.

Surya Kumar Yadav was the main highlight of the match. Despite the slow pitch and quality spin attack, Surya’s elegance with the bat outclassed everyone. While other Indian batters were struggling to Rashid’s spin bowling Yadav potentially found a way to tackle the Afghani Wizard.

Rashid took Virat and Rishab Pant posing a threat to the Indian batting order. However, Surya was had a good time facing the Afghan skipper. While Rashid was bowling to SKY, the Indian batsman played two sweep shots to counter Rashid’s spin resulting in a boundary and a six after the eventful over, a playful exchange between Rashid Khan and Surya Kumar Yadav caught the attention of fans.

While, the light-hearted conversation was unheard Ravi Shastri, while commentary, guessed that Rashid would have asked SKY to stop playing sweep shots.

Match Overview

Indian skipper won the toss and chose to bat on a slow Barbados pitch. India lost Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma early. Despite a tough start, SKY and Vice-captain Hardik Pandya helped India to register a challenging total of 181 at the historical venue. Hardik made 32(24) while SKY scored an outstanding 53(28) with an impressive strike rate of 189.29.

In the 2nd half of the game Bumrah and Co. took the responsibility and restricted Afghanistan to just 134/10 winning the game by 47 runs. Jasprit Bumrah took 3 wickets by just conceding 7 runs in his 4-over spell. Even Arshdeep picked 3 wickets in his spell. Other than that, Kuldeep got 2 while, Axar and Jadeja picked 1-1 each sealing the game for India.
