India vs England T20 World Cup: Here’s why Rohit Sharma is ‘fuming’ over ICC

India will take on England in an attempt to seek redemption from the hammering that they received from the Three Lions at the semifinals of the T20 WC 2022.

New Delhi: India will take on England in an attempt to seek redemption from the hammering that they received from the Three Lions at the semifinals of the T20 WC 2022. England thrashed India on that occasion by 10 wickets and eventually went on to win the T20 WC in Australia defeating Pakistan in the finals. However, things have changed since that tragic loss. This Indian side looks a lot more promising, dynamic and confident.

India is one of the two unbeaten sides in the tournament, the other being South Africa. The Proteas have already qualified for their maiden T20 Finals after thumping Afghanistan. However, one problem that has emerged in front of ICC is that there is no reserve day in store for the second semifinals! Interestingly, there was a reserved day in the first semifinals between South Africa and Afghanistan.

But the game against England does not have any reserve day to complete the game within the stipulated time. Although Rohit is hopeful for a full 40-over match, any results apart from that will not hinder the adaptability of the boys.

“But that is ok, it is the ICC and Cricket West Indies’ headache…”- Rohit’s exasperation!

However, far from the dumb charades of the weather and rain, skipper Rohit Sharma seems to be distracted by something else! Sharma has admitted that the weather is unpredictable and is not in control of anyone. However, Rohit reiterated the fact that they are worried that if the game gets interrupted for long, they might miss the ‘chartered’ flight that they have booked to take them to the final venue.

But that is ok, it is the ICC and Cricket West Indies’ headache…” as Sharma reassured everyone present in the pre-match conference that the team’s only moto is to play and win the game. As India takes on England, all eyes will be on the skipper as to how he leads his soldiers towards the silverware.
