New Delhi: Indian cricket’s future and IPL’s superstar Rinku Singh is all geared up to represent India in the 19th edition of the Asian Games 2023.
Following his impressive performance in the world’s biggest cricket league earlier this year, Rinku earned a massive fan following among cricket lovers and now has been provided with the privilege to represent his country on a global stage.
Meanwhile, the selection committee has revealed the 15-player squad of team India which will soon depart for China’s Hangzhou to participate in the awaited tournament.
The squad has been selected by the committee after considering the unavailability of list A Players due to the upcoming ICC ODI world cup that will kick start on 5th October in India.
Rinku to install floodlights at his hometown’s cricket stadium
After getting to know about the national call-up, the five-sixes hitter couldn’t help but show his happiness and excitement for being given such a special opportunity.
Showing gratitude for the same, Rinku Singh, who was attending a special event in Aligarh, put forward the idea of supporting young talent in his city by installing floodlights in the Aligarh sports association’s local stadium at Mahua Kheda. He asserted that the installation of floodlights will cause great convenience to all the youngsters of the town who seek to make their future in cricket.
Celebrating their local boy’s selection in an international tournament, Senior Secretary of Jadaun Rides Arjun Singh Fakira presented Rinku with a plaque and a Radha Krishna souvenir.
After receiving all the honours, Rinku won over the hearts of his fans once again by giving an open invitation to all his supporters to join him in the upcoming tournament. He even said that if they come along, he will be covering all the expenses of their accommodation and travelling.
