Kohli pulls off a stunner in 1st India-WI ODI match, draws praise from Jadeja (VIDEO)

As the Caribbeans got out cheaply on 114 runs in just 23 overs, the game saw early finish by the Men in Blue. India chased down the score in very less time, with a loss of 5 wickets though.

New Delhi: Virat Kohli may no longer be the Team India skipper but he continues to lead by example and his heroics from batting to fielding continue to take his teammates & crores of cricket fans by surprise.

In the last night India-West Indies 1st One Day International (ODI) match, Kohli’s jaw-dropping catch in the slips left everyone surprised. His spectacular catch showed his strong reflexes and he pounced on the ball and send the batter back to pavilion.

Kohli pulling off a stunner in the match was not just the only high point of game. Team India also set a record of winding up rival team at the lowest score of just 114 runs. India and West Indies played their first ODI at Kensington Oval in Barbados. Ravindra Jadeja & Kuldeep Yadav with their pierce bowling devastated the batting line-up of host team, which got rounded up at a poor score.

Virat’s catch that sent batter packing

In the 18th over, while Jadeja took over bowling, Virat was moved to the slips. Romario Shephard was the WI batter who got out for a duck, owing to Jadeja’s googly & Kohli’s strong reflex. In Jadeja’s first ball, he got beaten on the outside edge, however in the next ball, tried to hit the ball hard but ended up giving catch in the slips. The ball hit the thick edge of his bat and Kohli just jumped it on time.

Jadeja all praise for Kohli’s catch

Ravinder Jadeja was all praise for Virat Kohli as latter took a fabulous catch in the slips. In a video conversation with fellow teammate Kuldeep, released by the BCCI, the cricketer said that he felt good that Kohli helped him take another wicket in the same over.

“Usually, I take catches on other’s bowling. Now, with Virat doing the same on my bowling makes my heart swell with pride,” Jadeja said in the video shared by BCCI.
