Lucknow: CM Yogi receives 44th Chess Olympiad torch; plays game against Viswanathan Anand

The torch of the 44th Chess Olympiad reached Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Sunday evening.

New Delhi: The torch of the 44th Chess Olympiad reached Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow on Sunday evening. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was present at the event in front of Vidhan Bhavan to receive the torch. During the ceremony, the CM was accompanied by Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak.

The CM was handed over the torch by the Chess Federation of India President Sanjay Kapoor in front of the assembly.

During the event, CM Yogi was also seen playing Chess against Viswanathan Anand. The photos of him and India’s greatest Chess Player also have gone viral on social media.
