Sunil Gavaskar picks his T20 World Cup squad; Keeps Dhawan, Iyer and Kuldeep out
New Delhi: Cricketing Legend Sunil Gavaskar has picked his 15-man squad for India for the forthcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2021 and there are some suprises in it. As the alls favourite T20 World cup is approaching every expert and every fan are speculating that who will make it to the team.
Batting maestro Gavaskar has picked his team too and interestingly he has left out opener Shikhar Dhawan and middle-order batsmen Shreyas Iyer who was out for some time due to an injury. As per his squad, he has chosen Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli to open for the team while he has picked Suryakumar Yadav to bat on the No.3 slot and placed the Pandya brothers in the middle.
Rishabh Pant will keep the wickets and two all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar will make the tail strong. Gavaskar went on to pick five pacers Jasprit Bumrah, Shardul Thakur, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Deepak Chahar, and Mohammed Shami in his squad and Yuzvendra Chahal is the only specialist spinner who has made it to the list.
In an interaction with Sports Tak, Sunil Gavaskar said that Krunal is an all-rounder who has performed very well in the IPL so he surely deserves a place, and plus he is left-handed which is an advantage for the team.

India will play their first match against arch-rivals Pakistan on October 24 in Dubai.
