Ravindra Jadeja’s catch-drop upsets wife Rivaba Jadeja

It was India’s star pacer Mohammed Shami who stunned Rachin Ravindra with pace and made him play a cut-short right in the direction where India’s best fielder was positioned by captain Rohit Sharma. However, the man in form Jadeja, who is well known for his agile fielding, failed to grab the easy catch and get India their third wicket of the day.

Although both Jadeja and Shami got visibly upset after the catch drop, there was someone who appeared to be even more frustrated by the happening.

Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja, who was there in the stadium to cheer for India and her man, looked visibility irked after her husband and ace fielder Ravindra Jadeja failed to grab the opportunity to send Rachin Ravindran back to the dressing room at the initial stage of the game. A video of her reaction is now going viral on the internet.

Notably, Ravindra Jadeja’s catch-drop came not much after he was awarded a medal for being the best fielder by the Indian team management for his exceptional fielding efforts in India’s last game against Bangladesh.

After Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to field, frontline pacer Mohammed Siraj struck early and dismissed the Kiwi opener Devon Conway for a duck in the 4th over of the first innings.

Following that, pacer Mohammed Shami, who is playing his first match of World Cup 2023, also got a dream start in the tournament as he castled Will Young on the very first ball of his spell and gave India their second breakthrough.

Indian bowlers started off well and kept bowling with disciplined line length which made batting a challenging task for the Blackcaps in the first 10 overs of the game. By the end of 10th over New Zealand only managed to score 34 runs for the loss of two wickets.

While veteran pacer Mohammed Shami had joined the playing 11 after replacing Shardul Thakur, Suryakumar Yadav has received a chance in the team after all-rounder Hardik Pandya was ruled out from today’s match owing to his ankle injury.
