On winning the toss, the captain, Ajinkya Rahane decided to at first. On losing four wickets with 145 runs, it was becoming difficult for Indian batters to pick up the score. However, with Shreyas and Jadeja’s partnership, India was able to reach a decent score after 70 overs.
