New Delhi: Inter-team rivalries and on-ground standoffs are nothing new to the world of sports, or cricket for that matter. Though, a standoff took a backseat during the ongoing third Test between Pakistan and Australia.

Amidst the massive cheering by the Pak crowd present in the stadium, Australian cricketer David Warner and Pakistan’s Shaheen Shah Afridi engaged in an anguished staring contest, that however appeared hysterical to their teammates and fans.

The funny instance took place at the last over of the third day during the historic test match. Later in the game, even Warner and Afridi were seen laughing off on their amusing deadlock.

During the third over of Australia’s second innings, Shaheen bowled a short one, while Warner safeguard it comfortably. After watching the ball come to rest right under his feet, Shaheen fiercely came walking towards Warner.

The batter started walking towards him as well. Though, what appeared to be a furious standoff at first, ended the duo in giggles. As Warner was smiling all along while walking towards Shaheen, the Pak bowler also wind up chuckling.
