New Delhi: Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan penned down a poignant post on his Insta handle, wishing his son Zoravar a happy birthday while also ruing about the pangs of their ‘separation’ because of his estranged wife Aesha Mukerji.
The agony & pain of being isolated from his son, apparently at the instance of his former wife evoked moving reactions by his fans & followers.
Dhawan’s emotional post about missing his son brings the focus back on his marriage and he got relieved from ‘toxic’ relationship after a decade long marriage.
A family court granted the couple divorce in October this year, on grounds of ‘cruelty’ inflicted on the cricketer by his wife Aesha Mukerji.
Who is Aesha Mukerji?
Aesha Mukerji and Shikhar Dhawan got married in year 2012 and together they have a son named Zoravar. While Shikhar is Indian by birth, Aesha & Zoravar both have Australian citizenship.
Before marrying Indian cricketer, Aesha was married to another person, with whom she had 2 daughters.
While granting divorce, the court accepted Dhawan’s claims that he was subjected to cruel treatment by his wife. The judgement said that Aesha subjected Dhawan to mental pain & agony as she kept their son away from him and ‘forced’ him to keep long-distance relationship.
Though, the court ordered Dhawan visitation rights to son in India & Australia for particular duration, it refused to pass any order of his custody.

Shikhar Dhawan today took to Twitter and poured his heart out over not being able to meet his son for past one year.
He claimed that he was kept away from his son Zoravar and his estranged wife has blocked him from meeting or contacting his son.
His emotional message on Zoravar’s birthday drew empathetic messages from his fans.
The cricketer also dropped a piece of advice for his son, “Be naughty but not destructive, be a giver, be humble, compassionate, patient, and strong.”
