The party's Maharashtra unit chief Imtiaz Jaleel had last week said that the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Haryana posed an opportunity for the public to "change the atmosphere in the country".
AIMIM had released two lists of candidates for Maharashtra polls, while BJP, CPI (M) and Shiv Sena have released one list each, so far.
Owaisi expressed disappointment on India being clubbed with Pakistan by Trump. "India is such a great nation but it is Prime Minister Modi's failure that India has been hyphenated with Pakistan. Trump has said twice now that he is ready to mediate between India and Pakistan," he said.
Addressing a public gathering on Tuesday, Owaisi said, "There was a time when Deputy Mayor of Nizamabad was from AIMIM, now BJP has an MP in Nizamabad. If you don't want AIMIM to win, it is okay, but defeat the BJP."
During an interaction with BJP workers in Sehore, Madhya Pradesh,Thakur had said: "We were not elected to get your drains cleaned. We were not elected to get your toilets cleaned. We will do all the work we have been elected for."
The AIMIM chief said victims of mob violence will not be forgotten. He said he had proposed a bill to strengthen, investigation and prosecution is lynching incidents.
Owaisi said that Muslims were equal citizens of this country and they cannot be denied the rights guaranteed to them by the Constitution of India.
