Bihar Elections 2020: Hours after Janata Dal (United) released the first list of 115 candidates for Bihar Assembly Elections 2020, former Director-General of Police(DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey who has been denied assembly ticket on Wednesday said that he has experienced a lot of struggle in his life and is dedicated to the people of Bihar.

Pandey quit as DGP after his request for voluntary retirement was approved on Tuesday by the Bihar government, which waived a three-month mandatory cooling-off period.

"We requested the BMC to exempt IPS officer Vinay Tiwari from being quarantined. We told them at least send him back as he is an IPS officer. This is not a professional behaviour. This officer is being kept as if he has been arrested," BIhar DGP told reporters

Bihar Director General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey on Saturday said that the police are "fully capable" of conducting the investigation in the matter.
