iOS 18 Update: Here’s how the new weather update will look like for iOS users…

According to the popular tech journal 9to5Mac, the new weather app update will have the ‘feels like’ update in a more prominent position.

New Delhi: Apple users are eagerly waiting for the brand-new iOS 18 updates which are set to hit the markets towards the end of 2024. Many features like the all-new ‘Apple Intelligence’ are set to revolutionise iOS devices forever.

Although most of the updates have been discussed in the WWDC Keynote address, some of the updates are being revealed right now. Furthermore, in the past few weeks, a new development has occurred which states that some of the features of iOS may be released next year and not towards the end of 2024 as originally planned.

The new Weather app feature in iOS 18

One of the most talked about features which are set to come in the new iOS 18 is the updated features of the weather app. According to the popular tech journal 9to5Mac, the new weather app update will have the ‘feels like’ update in a more prominent position.

Usually, iOS users have to scroll down in the weather app to get the ‘feels like’ feature. However, in the new update, the ‘feels like’ feature will be right there up top in prominent fonts so that the users can easily differentiate the text from the actual weather readings.

What is the ‘Feels Like’ feature?

The Feels Like feature is a form of measurement which tells how cold or hot the day is actually. It is important to note that this measurement is different from the objective reading which tells about the weather from different weather stations.

Naturally, the Feels Like measurements are more localised than the recorded weather station updates which come in the phone. However, to make the readings more accurate, Apple has decided to give both readings at the same time. In this way, the users will be able to corroborate the readings of the weather stations with the localised readings simultaneously.
