New Delhi: The hashtag, WhatsApp Down started trending at the top on Twitter in India on October 25 after many users were not able to use the social media platform. The platform is not working for Android as well as iOS users. Metra spokesperson said that the company is trying in every possible way to restore services as soon as possible, according to a media report.
Under the hashtag on Twitter, over 87 thousand people reacted with messages and funny memes. However, the issue is reported to be faced by many users in various countries. Notably, a similar outage was also reported in October.

Last outage lasted 6 hours
When WhatsApp was down last time in 2021, it took nearly 6 hours to resolve. At that time, apps — WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger — that come under Meta’s banner ceased to function. Unlike the first, the current outage is for only WhatsApp users.
