According to doctors he is recovering well and will be discharged soon. Cyrus Poonawalla is the Managing Director of the Serum Institute of India and is also counted among the third richest Indian. He played a significant role as the leader of the Serum Institute of India in producing the Covishield vaccine during the Pandemic. Poonawalla is 82 years old and was admitted to the Ruby Hall Clinic in Pune. He came up with the Serum Institute in 1966 with the aim of producing life-saving drugs.
