New Delhi: The common man’s life in Maharashtra has come to a standstill after the truck drivers staged massive protest against the new changes in the hit and run law introduced by the government. Many people were seen standing in queues in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. The people were afraid that the strike might hit the fuel supply in coming days. According to the new law, the truck driver will have to serve a jail term of 10 years and will have to pay a fine of Rs 7 lakhs if they cause a crash and fail to report the accident to the concerned authorities, they they are liable for punishment and fine.
