India, US, UAE and Saudi Arabia discuss massive rail network

The Project will connect the Arab countries with the Gulf nations via a Railway network and will also connect to India through seaports in the Gulf

New Delhi: To counter China’s One Belt One Road initiative, India has jointly started an infrastructure project with the USA, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. The Project will connect the Arab countries with the Gulf nations via a Railway network and will also connect to India through seaports in the Gulf. According to some reports, the National Security Advisors of these countries met in Saudi Arabia to discuss the basic structure of this project. The main objective of this infrastructure project is to counter China’s rising influence in the Gulf nations. USA’s National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan has planned a meeting to push forward this idea of the infrastructural project.
