New Delhi: A controlled implosion took place to demolish the Noida Twin Towers. In 2021 Supreme Court ordered the demolition of the towers as it violated the minimum distance requirement. The buildings were demolished as they were built illegally and violated the UP Apartment Act. It is a historic moment as it is a win for the homebuyers who filed petitions and won the case to watch a one of its kind demolition. The buildings were called Apex and Ceyane and were located at Sector 93A in Noida. The towers were 103 m and 97 m tall respectively. Reportedly, 3,700 kg of explosives were used to demolish the buildings.
