Pakistan surrenders its Hajj Quota alloted by Saudi Arabia (VIDEO)

8000 seats have returned to Saudi Arabia due to the shortage of applicants.

New Delhi: This is the first time in its history, Pakistan has surrendered the Hajj Quota allotted to it by Saudi Arabia. This happened as its application fell short of the available seats. According to some ministry of Pakistan, 8000 seats have returned to Saudi Arabia due to the shortage of applicants. The step has been taken in order to curb the economic crisis by saving 196 crore rupees. The government is also trying to save its money which is likely to be spent on the accommodation of pilgrims. Earlier this year the government also announced that there will be no voting for the  Hajj applicants, as it was evident that there was short of applicants.
