The ED seizes assets worth $757 million from Amway India: Fraud investigation

New Delhi: Amway India Enterprises Pvt Ltd, a prominent direct marketing business that very much created the multi-level marketing (MLM) craze in India by enlisting millions of individuals as members and promised them attractive commissions on exorbitantly priced products as long as they maintained adding members below them, has had assets worth 757.77 crore attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Amway India’s “entire concentration” is “propagating how members can become rich by becoming members,” according to a detailed statement released on Monday by ED.
