The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) looks to escalate growing clamour around construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya by reaching out to nearly 2.75 lakh villages, which once contributed bricks for the temple at height of ‘Ram Mandir movement’ way back in 1989. The saffron organisation has asked its cadres to go back to these villages and ask its residents to install a ‘pratima’ (idol) of Lord Ram in their households as a mark of their contribution towards the temple.
