New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi becomes the first Prime Minister to fly a Tejas fighter jet in Bengaluru. The Prime Minister was on a visit to review the ongoing work on its manufacturing facility. He also took to Twitter to share the pictures of his flight. He also called the experience extremely enriching. Tejas is a single-engine multirole combat aircraft that has a tailless, compound delta wing design with “relaxed static stability” for enhanced manoeuvrability and agility.It is India’s first self-made fighter jet and received the final operational clearance for induction into the air force as a fully-weaponised fighter jet in February 2019.
