2 Pak journalists fired after Pak TV shows Kashmir as part of India

The incident occurred on June 6 and was raised in Parliament on June 8. Following this, Pakistan TV sacked two employees for the blunder.

New Delhi: Making an unforgivable mistake, Pakistan’s state-run TV showed Kashmir as a part of India during a broadcast. This left the Pakistani establishment embarrassed and red-faced for obvious reasons.

Pakistan’s hatred and propaganda for India is well-known, so are its devious designs to internationalize the Kashmir issue but everytime, it has failed to do so. Now, an embarrassment back home was the least Pak govt could have expected.

The incident occurred on June 6 and was raised in Parliament on June 8. Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani referred the issue to the Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting for suggested action.

Pakistan TV sacked two employees for the blunder.

“Taking strict action on the recommendations of the inquiry committee designated to probe the airing of an incorrect image of a map of Pakistan on June 6 on PTV News, the PTV management has terminated two officials found responsible for the professional oversight,” Pak TV tweeted.

It may be noted that Pakistan, in its official map, shows Kashmir as its own part.
