New Delhi: The Abu Dhabi International Airport on Monday reportedly came suspected drone attack. The attack has severely damaged three oil-carrying tankers at the airport.
According to reports, it was an attack on the airport, employing a drone. Yemen based Houthi rebels have claimed responsibility for the attack.
“The fire provoked an explosion in three tanks for transporting fuel in the Misfah area near the fuel depots of the Emirati state-owned company ADNOC,” the police said in a tweet.
“Also, a small fire broke out in the construction area of the new airport of the UAE capital Abu Dhabi. According to the preliminary version, this happened as a result of a drone hit. No one is injured,” the police added, according to Sputnik

Earlier also, two similar attacks took place at two key oil installations in Saudi Arabia on September 14, 2019. The attacks, carried by Yemen’s Houthi rebels , had resulted in an escalation of tensions in the Persian Gulf.
