Earthquake in Taiwan: Shocking videos create buzz on social media (WATCH)

In a viral video, shared by a journalist, one can see a bridge has fallen down after breaking apart.

New Delhi: A few videos are going viral on Twitter since an earthquake of magnitude 7.2 on the Richter scale hit Taiwan’s Yujing district on Sunday. The epicentre of the quake was located at a depth of 7.3 km, about 35.8 kilometres north of Taitung County Hall. The latest earthquake was reported a day after Taiwan’s southeastern county of Taitung at 9:41 pm yesterday.

In a viral video, shared by a journalist, one can see a bridge has fallen down after breaking apart. It is reported that the viral video is recorded at a bridge in Hualien. In the video, one can also see a person got stuck on the bridge as the bridge collapsed due to earthquake waves.

In another shocking video, shared by user Siraj Noorani, one can watch bikers running motorcycles along the road when they were saved by a narrow eye after a landslide occurred.

In a third video shared by another journalist, one can see how the earthquake shook the house.

In yet another shocking video, one can watch how a train standing on the platform is swinging due to a powerful wave on the ground.

Sharing a video of a rescue operation in Taiwan’s Yuli township, a user wrote, ”2 survivors have been rescued from the collapsed building in Yuli township in #Taiwan where 2 more are still being trapped inside. The 6.9 magnitude #earthquake hit the eastern part of the island Sunday afternoon after it was hit by a 6.6 magnitude earthquake Saturday night.”
