“I was a part of that [British] society, I was welcomed as well. But I never considered it my home. I am a Pakistani. No matter what I do, I can’t become an Englishman. If you paint stripes on a donkey, it doesn’t become a zebra. A donkey remains a donkey,” Imran Khan told the hosts.
His comment brought a deluge of reactions on Twitter with many users poking fun at the ousted Pak PM. Though some said that there was nothing extraordinary in his statement but lot many users trolled him for ‘belittling’ the country & countrymen with donkey remark. A couple of netizens looked furious with him for referring that meant ‘Pakistanis remains a donkey despite moving to the West.’

About Imran Khan’s ascension & removal from power
Imran Khan, the cricketer-turned cricketer became Pakistan prime minister in 2018, as his Tehree-i-insaf (PTI) emerged as single largest party in Elections. Being a public figure for long, he enjoys immense popularity, however, his ascension to power drew critical remarks from Opposition who claimed that he was propped up by Pakistan’s military to work as its ‘puppet’.
In last couple of months, Imran faced revolt & rebellion from within the party and finally, he became the first Prime Minister to be impeached by the Pakistan Parliament.
