New Delhi: A video from the Pakistani Parliament is going viral on the internet in which Ali Nawaz Awan, a member of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) can be seen hitting Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Sheikh Rohail Asghar with a book on the face after a heated exchange of words.
It is being reported that, as soon as Leader of the Opposition Shehbaz Sharif begins his speech in the National Assembly, there was a commotion from the government benches in the House and the government members stood on their seats.
Federal ministers Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Fawad Chaudhry were also among the sloganeers. On this occasion, PML-N members formed a fence around the opposition leader.
In a video, MPs can be seen shoving each other with anger and abusing each other. Some women MPs tried to intervene but the matter did not seem to calm down.
