Stormy Daniels loses lawsuit against Trump, has to pay $120,000 as legal fees

The crucial judgement comes at the same time when Donald Trump has become the first ex-US President to be charged with crime.

New Delhi: Porn star Stormy Daniels, who was at the centre of ‘hush money’ controversy involving former US President Donald Trump, received a major setback as she lost defamation suit against the latter and was also told to pay legal fees to the tune of $ 1,20,000.

A Federal Appeals court in California asked the adult film star to pay the amount as legal fees to Trump’s attorneys.

The crucial judgement comes at the same time when Donald Trump has become the first ex-US President to be charged with crime. It’s on the same day that a Manhattan court arraigned Trump, the frontrunner of US Prez race 2024 on 34 charges, in connection with hush money payment to the porn star.

Trump’s attorney tweets congrtulations

Trump’s attorney Harmeet Dhillon took to Twitter and also shared a copy of the order.

This came after Trump pleaded not guilty in the New York city courtroom, where he was accused of falsifying records in the run up to his US Presidential race in 2016.

The allegations of his extra-marital affairs with Stormy Daniels & Playboy model Karen McDoughal first broke, when he was running for the White House in 2016 Presidential elections.

Daniels alleged that Trump got into an extra-marital affair with her in 2006 and when this could upset his presidential candidature in 2016, she was paid $1,30,000 to hush up the matter.
