Terrorist Yasin Malik’s wife gets ‘berth’ in Pakistan caretaker govt, know who is Mushaal Mullick

With Pakistan allotting a junior minister rank to terrorist’s wife, it has raised hackles in India but it speaks more about former’s penchant for staying rooted in terror.

New Delhi: Pakistan may boast and brag about its democratic set-up before the world but history belies its tall claims. Today, it’s duplicity again exposed before the world as it appointed a terrorist’s wife in the new Pakistan cabinet, that will serve as caretaker government till new government is elected.

The neighbouring country, with proven record of sponsoring terrorism in India, took the provocative step by giving a minister rank status to terrorist Yasin Mallick’s wife Mushaal Hussein Mullick. She has been appointed as Special Advisor on Human Rights to Pakistan’s caretaker PM Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar.

Terrorist Yasin Malik is currently serving jail term in Delhi’s Tihar jail. He was involved in many terror cases in Kashmir during 1990s and charged with secessionist & promoting anti-India campaign in many instances. He was convicted in a terror funding case by NIA court in 2022 and awarded life imprisonment.

Terrorist Yasin got married Pakistani national Mushaal in Rawalpindi in 2009. The duo met in 2005 when Yasin went on a trip to Pakistan. Mushaal is a graduate from London School of Economics and has a daughter with Yasin. Both of them live in Islamabad.

Pak’s caretaker government

An 18-member cabinet of the new caretaker Pakistan government led by Anwaar Ul Haq Kakar, took oath of office on Thursday. Anwaar is a little known name in Pakistan’s political circles but believed to have close links with Pakistan Army.

Under Pakistan’s laws, a caretaker government is appointed upon the dissolution of National Assembly. It remains in control of nation’s affairs until elections are held, which must take place within 90 days from date of dissolution.

Political watchers believe that Army will use this time & space to enforce control over nation’s political affairs, which got out of hand after Imran’s defiance & protest.
