Messi’s injury severity remains undiscovered, but judging by the thick bandage, it appears he will be sidelined for at least one to two months.

New Delhi: Argentine Football star, Lionel Messi is currently enjoying his time off football with his wife Antonella Roccuzzo in Florida. The striker had suffered a terrible ankle injury during the Copa America 2024 final against Colombia last week. In the absence of Messi for the last half hour, Argentina still pulled off a victory against Colombia to secure their 16th Copa America title, setting a new record which took place in Florida last Sunday.

On Wednesday, Messi won’t be able to play in the Major League Soccer’s All-Star Game because of an ankle injury. Alongside his club teammate Luis Suarez, the Inter Miami superstar is also injured and will not be at the All-Star Game against Mexico’s Liga MX All-Stars in Columbus, Ohio. Messi has an ankle injury, while Suarez is dealing with a minor knee issue.

A photo was posted on Instagram, depicting Messi on vacation with his wife Antonella and Suarez. Antonela shared some enchanting vacation photos on Instagram, which included images of them enjoying a cruise. In the photos, a heavy bandage could be seen wrapped around Messi’s foot.

Messi’s return questioned

Messi’s injury severity remains undiscovered, but judging by the thick bandage, it appears he will be sidelined for at least one to two months. The first team-sport athlete to win the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year in 2020 and 2023 and who was also included in the Ballon d’Or Dream Team in 2020 and became the second footballer and team-sport athlete to exceed $1 billion in career earnings, led Miami to the inaugural Leagues Cup crown in 2023.
