“We all had to record you a last video”: Afghan YouTuber Najma Sadeqi’s chilling VIDEO message before death

After Talibani fighters took control of Kabul, poignant stories and horrific scenes of barbarianism and brutality are constantly pouring in.

New Delhi: “Since we are not allowed to work and go out of our homes, we all had to record you a last video. And through this video say goodbye to you all,” these were apparently the last words of Afghan YouTuber Najma Sadeqi, who fell victim to Taliban firing.

The Afghan YouTuber was reportedly killed in terror attack on Kabul airport. Sadeqi was preparing to leave the country but was killed in suicide bombing that took almost 200 lives.

The 20-year-old YouTuber reportedly recorded this video, 4 days after Talibani fighters captured power in Kabul. Najma, who enjoyed immense popularity in the country, recorded her last video while sitting on her bed.

Filled with gloom, Najma recorded her last video

Earlier, Najma Sadeq used to record videos about exploring Kabul with her friends and videos on meal recipes and it would be accompanied with soothing music in the background.

But, her last video lacked all the liveliness and was rather filled with gloom and melancholy. Her expressions were revealing enough about the scary and frightening situation, especially for the Afghan women in Taliban-led era.

“Wish it was a bad dream”

In the final video, Najma said, she was scared to walk the streets

“Life in Kabul has become very difficult, especially for those who used to be free and happy,” she said.

“I wish it is a bad dream, I wish we can wake up one day. But I know that it is not possible … and it is a reality that we are finished,” she added, stopping at times to stifle tears.
Najma Sadeqi was a final-year journalism student. Though, she recently joined Afghan Insider YouTube channel but her videos grabbed millions of eyeballs.
