The official summary states that Kari finds solace in her family and religion as she faces challenges in her relationship and seeks to understand whether love is a choice or if her marriage can be saved. As a family, the Baxters face life’s obstacles together in this profoundly compelling faith-based adventure.

More

A remarkable metamorphosis occurred in The Baxters, written by Karen Kingsbury. Originally airing from 1979 to 1980 as a sitcom, the first run was cut short due to low ratings. The story was reimagined for Canadian audiences when filming was moved to Toronto and new performers were hired.

The 10-episode revival on Amazon Prime Video marks the show’s return after more than 40 years, bringing with it some fresh plot points and technological advancements.
