New Delhi: Team India is currently enjoying a dominant run in the ICC World Cup 2023 by winning all their 8 out of 8 matches so far.
India became the first country to qualify for the semifinals for this year’s edition of the World Cup and also confirmed their top spot finish in the points table.
The men in blue are currently the top-ranked team in all formats of cricket, and on Wednesday, they put yet another feather in their cap by claiming the top spot in the batters and bowler’s list in the ICC rankings.
Indian opener Subhman Gill dethrones Pakistan’s Babar Azam to claim the number 1 spot in the ODI’s top batters’s list, while India’s Md. Siraj once again claimed the top spot in the ODI’s bowler’s list by replacing Pakistan’s Sahid Afridi.

Subhman Gill became the player to reach the top of the ODI batters list in the fewest matches, i.e., in just 41 games, which is one less than former Indian captain MS Dhoni’s record of 42 games.
However, he is still not the fastest to do so, as, it took Subhman 41 innings to achieve this feat, while it took MS Dhoni only 38 innings to climb the summit of the ICC ODI rankings.

The young Indian became only the fourth Indian player to achieve this feat, and it took him only 41 matches to do so.

2] Babar Azam (Pakistan)- 824 points
The Pakistani skipper was holding the top for 937 days, but his recent loss of form in the ICC World Cup 2023 resulted in him dropping one spot to number 2.

3] Quinton de Kock (South Africa)- 771 points
The South African southpaw will retire from the 50-over format after the conclusion of the ICC World Cup 2023, but before that, he is enjoying terrific form by smashing four centuries in his 8 World Cup matches this year.

5] David Warner (Australia)- 743 points
The Australian southpaw is also enjoying his batting in what could be the last ODI World Cup. But that has not stopped him from going all vintage with his form and providing the Australian top order with much better stability of attack and defence.

1] Md. Siraj (India)- 709 points
The Indian pace spearhead entered the ICC World Cup 2023, with the number 1 ranking under his name, but lost after failing to secure wickets in the first few matches and lost the spot to Pakistan’s Shaheen Afridi.
But Siraj soon found his flow back and is now at the top spot.
2] Keshav Maharaj (South Africa)- 694 points
The South African spinner is enjoying great form at the ICC World Cup 2023 and is constantly picking up wickets.

3] Adam Zampa (Australia)- 662 points
The only regular in the Aussie squad for the ICC World Cup 2023 is enjoying the form of his life and is picking wickets in every match.

He is currently the second-highest wicket-taker in this year’s World Cup and is the overall third-ranked ODI bowler in ICC rankings.
4] Kuldeep Yadav (India)- 661 points
Not far behind Zampa is the Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav, who has dominated the ODI cricket in 2023, and is continuing his form in the World Cup. He is currently the second-best Indian and fourth-best ODI bowler in the ICC ODI rankings.

Pakistani pace spearhead claimed the top spot in the ODI bowler’s ranking last month, but his form is not backing his reputation at the moment and he has now slipped 4 positions to number 5.
