New Delhi: Hartalika Teej, one of the main festivals that is celebrated by Hindu married women during the Chaturmas period. The festival, is celebrated three times a year, and they all have different names such as Hariyali, Haritalika, and Kajari Teej.
It is believed that the festival of teej also brings good fortune to women.
Although, there are still people who are confused and thinks that Hariyali and Hartalika Teej as same, but this is not correct.
Hariyali Teej falls in Shukla Paksha after Hariyali Amavasya in the month of Shravan, while Haritalika Teej is known as Bhadrapada Shukla Teej.
Both Hariyali Teej and Haritalika Teej are celebrated by married women who fasts for the long lives of their husband by pleasing Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva.

Every year, Hartalika Teej vrat is observed on the Tritiya Tithi, Shukla Paksha in Bhadrapada.
