New Delhi: As metro services is all set to resume its services from next month after almost five months, new guidelines are must to be followed.

Guidelines for Unlock 4 under which metro trains will be allowed to resume services from September 7 in a graded manner was issued by the Union Home Ministry on Saturday.

Confirming that it will restart services, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation said, “As per the latest guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs under Unlock 4, the Delhi Metro will be resuming its services for public from 7th September 2020 onwards in a calibrated manner.”

New Guidelines while travelling in Delhi Metro

-Tokens will  not be issued

-Automatic top-up and smart cards will be available.

– The auto-top up of smart cards will be done at automatic fare collection (AFC) gates.

-Hand sanitisation.

-Thermal screening.

-Aaogya Setu app must on their phones.

– Wear a mask shield, face mask, and gloves mandatory

– Hand-held metal detectors will be used to check passengers from a distance.

COVID-19 cases in India

New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 case tally crossed 35-lakh mark with a spike of 78,761 new cases and 948 deaths in the last 24 hours, said the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Sunday.

The COVID-19 tally in the country stands at 35,42,734, the Ministry stated.

The total number of cases includes 7,65,302 active cases, 27,13,934 cured/discharged/migrated and 63,498 fatalities.
